Simply Miranda
A little bit about me...
Hello, I am Miranda - cook, baker, writer, maker and creator. I love food and flowers, time with friends and family, walks in wild places, painting, writing poems and being by the sea. I live in England in the beautiful South Downs National Park in the heart of the West Sussex countryside with its rolling hills, beautiful coastline, woods and historic villages. I am always busy making cakes, mixing my sourdough, writing my food column, creating recipes and making and photographing delicious and pretty looking food.
I love salted caramel brownie and meringues, freshly picked raspberries from my kitchen garden, home-made soups, dippy eggs and crusty sourdough. I grow dahlias and sweet peas and lots of old fashioned scented roses in my rambling country garden. I walk in the woods, love listening to birdsong and escape to the sea as often as I can.
I have three children and am always juggling motherhood and work, school runs, homework and football training. My recipes and creative projects are always SIMPLE, HOMEMADE & HAPPILY IMPERFECT. In my 20’s I was called ‘Martha’ by family and friends (after Martha Stewart) and when I made it to the final of the first ever Great British Bake Off, Mary Berry said “I reminded her of her when she was little”!
I have written and published two books ‘Biscuit’ and ‘Bake me a Cake as Fast as You Can’ and I write a monthly food column full of seasonal, nostalgic and comforting recipes.
.
I hope you enjoy my recipes and adventures and I look forward to sharing with you more about my home and lifestyle, writing and mindfulness and my philosophy for life.
Love Miranda xx

You write beautifully so I look forward to reading your posts.
